Denholm is a beautiful getaway from the city life, tucked away in the heart of the rolling gatineau hills. This small canton has awsome trails bringing you to breath taking views of the country side and a water fall, it has many lakes offering summer getaways and excellent fishing.
Though this may be a very quiet and small town, it still holds that untouched beauty that lets you experience God's creation! ( you can tell I love this place )
A great time to drive by is in the hight of fall colors!

I was born in Granthams Landing in 1946. My parents, Velma and Robert Greig moved our family to Ontario shortly thereafter so my father could attend UofT dentistry. Today, I finally found out where Granthams Landing actually is. Does anyone remember the Greig family..Velma and Robert. My mother ran a small store called Velma's Place and was a championship diver.

The first time my husband and I were ever in Mattawa was for an atv rally in May of 2007. We absolutely loved it. Everyone is so nice and helpful and the main street is so cute. I just fell in love with Mattawa and it is definetly at the top of my list of great places to visit or live. I would love to move there one day. We are planning our third trip for the Dec. 7/8 chilli snow run and I can't wait. VMUTS does a fabulous job of putting on these rallies and I hear they are expanding their trails. It seems like such a close knit community and thats what I love the most.

Renfrew County is without a doubt, one of Canada's best kept secrets. It is the largest County, geographically, in the Province of Ontario with one of the lowest populations. Geographically diverse, the County is home to clean lakes and rivers, abundant wildlife, picturesque, rugged scenery and a unique and diverse population. Many Renfrew County residents are descendants of the hardy Pioneers who opened up, and subsequently settled this area.
Renfrew County is also home to many interesting shops, boutiques and galleries. You can view some of these excellent business establishment on the shoprenfrewcounty.com website.
Talent, diversity, individuality and resourcefulness are hallmarks of the residents of Renfrew County, located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Eastern Ontario, Canada.
Come for a visit. Stay for a lifetime! You'll be glad you did, and so will we!

Pontypool is the type of place you drive through and wonder why anyone in their right mind would want to live there. The railway tracks run right through the centre of town with long grass and weeds growing up on all sides. Looking to the west you see an abandoned grain elevator and to the east an abandoned pool. It's a careless place with dogs and children running unattended and houses sitting forlorn.
The citizens of this little village are extremely loyal to it. Maybe it is a remembrance of the past when fastball players, potato farmers and Christmas tree growers were known all over Ontario. Maybe it's the freedom it offers of riding snowmobiles, four wheelers and dirt bikes anywhere without worrying too much about the legalities of liquor laws and age restrictions. I don't know why there is such a pride in saying " I am from Pontypool" but I know there is because even though I have not lived there for 35 years when someone asks me where I am from I say PONTYPOOL.
I want to know more about Rockton.

Blue Rocks is a magnificent little place where the land meets the ocean. A source of great energy can be felt by some when they wander along the meeting line. The line can be calm ,quiet and relaxing.Or it can be ferocious, pounding, and fearful. The shoreline is always changing.
Anyone from the Sillers family still in Bengough? They owned the Imperial Oil Distributorship and the Chevrolet Dealership. Also, who was the owner of the IHC Dealership in the 1940s?
